OOTD - Knitwear

This is my outfit of the day for Sunday. I wore my new kinitted jumper from H&M which i included in my last haul. I don't do these often but i want to do these more but their very annoying to do as you have to take time to take the pictures, and then you have to upload them, then you have to write a post on it. Theres just so much effort to put into it. Without further ado, here's my outfit.

I'm wearing my knitted jumper with some high waisted shorts from Primark which i believe were £10. I brought them last year though. I'm wearing some black tights aswell. No shoes on here but i wore some brown boots from New Look which were like £22 or something that i got recently. Also, i studded the neckline of my jumper with some studs from river island which were in my last haul also.

Anyway, thanks for reading my first ever OOTD post. See you later!

Little Haul

I went shopping for presents on Saturday! So i thought i'd show you what i brought. I'm going to start off with some cheeky purchases for myself.

I brought this knitted jumper from H&M, I got it in the sale for £7! It was originally £15 so i was very happy with this bargain, and i really like it. I really like knitted jumpers because they're really Christmasy and wintery. I just love knitted jumpers. I also did read in the newspaper the other day (yes, i'm an avid newspaper reader) that lots of shops are putting sales on before Christmas to entice customers in so they buy more because customers have been spending a lot less money in shops recently. Shops usually do these sales after Christmas.
Jumper - £7 (Originally £15)

Secondly, i got this anklet for myself from Topshop. I thought it was bracelet and i only realized when i got home that it was an anklet. It was in the sale for £1.50 which i was really happy with.
Anklet - £1.50 (Originally £5)

I also picked up this pack of 10 studs for £6 from River Island. I've been wanting to pick up some studs for a while now but i'm not a fan of buying online, so i didn't. When i saw these i got so excited, literally everyone in the store must of turned round to look at me. The best thing about these are that you can use them as many different times as you like on any product. I would highly recommend purchasing these studs.

Studs - £6

Now onto things i brought as presents. Now i would show you what I've got for my brothers, my mum and my grandparents but I've wrapped it all up so i'll show you some of what i brought for my friends although i still need to buy some more.

First of all i brought this Benefit set for £10 from Boots. Its called 'Benefit Besties' Its got the 'Some-Kind-A Gorgeous' foundation in medium and 'That Gal' primer which is a brightening face primer. I'm not a fan of the packaging as its not their usual fun packaging. It looks a bit cheap. I'm also not pleased with the set once i opened it up at home because the products are very small. My friend will probably only get a few uses out of them.

Benefit Besties - £10

For the same friend i brought the Soap and Glory 'Sugar Crush body wash'. I was going to get her the 'Sugar Crush scrub' but she commented on the body wash so i brought it for her although she doesn't know. I'm not crazy over the scent though. It smells a bit too sugary, although its supposed to smell of sweet lime. I do usually like citrus and sugar smells though so this was strange for me. I was pleased with how big the container is, it holds a lot and its got a pump at the top to get it out with so i really like that. Another thing i notciced was that the body wash isn't actually pink, its white. i thought it was pink so i was disappointed to find out that its white.
Body wash - £6.50

There was a 3 for 2 offer on all luxury bath products or something like that so i felt inclined to buy 2 more soap and glory products. They were minis though. I purchased the 'Scrub of your Life' body wash and the the 'Flake Away' scrub. The scrub smells amazing, it says it smells of shea butter, sugar and peach seeds but it just smells yummy.
Both - £2.50

Next i brought some Jack Wills pants although these were purchased online and collected by my brother on the way to college. I brought 3 pairs (well, actually my mum did) for myself and 2 of my friends. Mine and 1 of my friends have been wrapped up though. So I've only got one pair to show. They're really soft, I apologize if thats weird. It was a 30% (I think) off offer online  but its over now. I got these for £8.75 (if it was 30% off). I got navy and pink for myself, black and hot pink for my friend and my other friends pants are below. Jack wills also gave us these really cute gift boxes to wrap them up in with tissue paper and ribbon which is really cute.
Pants - £8.75

(Sorry for the blurryness)

I also brought these earrings from river island which are little swallows. They're gold and i love them but i don't have my ears pierced so they're being gifted to my friend.

Earrings - £1.50

In the city where i went too, there is a really cute sweet shop so i went in and brought a few sweets.

Firstly i brought some candy canes, very festive! I brought 2 strawberry and i peppermint although in the picture below its just one of each. The peppermint is the one with more stripes. They were 99p each which i thought was rather dear for some candy canes which aren't even that big but nevertheless i purchased some.
Candy Canes - 99p each

I also brought some tongue tattoos which are really cool. You press them on your tongue for a few seconds and it imprints a picture onto your tongue in red. Unfortunately these only stay on for a few minutes but their still really cool for 50p. You get  sheets of 6 and there are 4 sheets in a pack.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to read my haul. I hope its given you some ideas as to what to buy for your friends (or yourself).

I've changed my blog header to something more wintery and i'm trying to add a snow effect but its difficult, so bear with me!

Magnetic Polish Nails

I used the Barry M Magnetic nail polish on the right in the green colour. I then magnetized it slightly with the magnet on the left nail polish (stripy). After it had dried, i painted peace signs on all of my fingers and a cross sign on my thumb with a models own black nail art pen.

My Bracelet Stack

Cross Bracelet - Topshop sale (£5)
Owl Bracelet - New Look (?)
Flower Bracelet (double banded) - Republic (About £4)
'L' Bracelet - Topshop (?)

MUA Constellation Nail Kit

I really like the idea MUA has come up with. I know caviar nails was a big thing before, but MUA has made it a whole lot easier with this kit. You just put it on top of your nail polish and you've got a caviar nail look, and knowing MUA, its probably really cheap too! When i next go shopping, i'll buy some and show you, and maybe do a review.

Music

I thought i'd share a few of my favourite less known artists with you simply because i enjoy discovering new artists, so i thought you might. Some of them, you may well know, they're just less known than Rihanna, Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran etc. Lets launch straight into it, shall we?

1. The Kooks

Most of you probably know this band, especially 'She moves in her own way' but i think they deserve more recognition because their album 'Inside in Inside out' is absolutely amazing. Their songs are just really upbeat, happy and sing-along songs. Also, the main focus is on the voice, so there's little background music, just guitars and stuff. You can tell there's no major auto-tune which is always a plus. My favourite songs from the album are Naive, Matchbox, Ooh La, You don't love me and She moves in her own way. And i love the main singers accent!

2. Two Door Cinema Club

You've probably no doubt heard of this trio aswell but they are, like the kooks, amazing anyway and you should seriously check out their album 'Tourist History'. I love them although they're a lot different from the kooks. Their main focus is the music because its just really loud, happy music which is my favourite kind of music. It can really get me in a good mood. Its really good music to listen to on your ipod in the background while on the bus to school or something because you can talk while listening to it. I find with music with a lot of catchy lyrics, i just want to sing along and not talk while its laying, but with this, i can talk while listening because its mainly music. All the track really flow into one another, so you can listen to the whole album and not really notice the change in song if you're talking. My favourite tracks from 'Tourist History' are basically every single one, but i really like Something Good Can Work, I can talk, Do you want it all and  Cigarettes in the theatre.

3. Hoodie Allen

This guys upbeat raps are amazing. He also has really catchy chorus's and i basically just love him. What more can i say?  His album 'All American' is super catchy and i love every song. His raps also have a meaning and they're easy to sing along to. I can't think of anything else to say, if i'm honest. He's slowly getting more known too because his first show in England was sold out! He can also 'dance pretty good for a white guy' (cue wink, because its a lyric from one of his songs and i thought i placed it well). My favourite tracks from his album are No faith in brooklyn, Eighteen cool (this ones soo catchy) and No interruption. Small town and Lucky man are good too. A plus is that you can download his EP's 'Leap Year' and 'Pep rally' for free on his website, but you have to buy all american on itunes.

4. Katie Sky
Katies from youtube and has released an EP although i think she recently signed up with LAB records. Shes good a lovely, relaxing voice and her songs are catchy and again, easy to sing along too. Her song 'sweet sweet melody' was used by a lot of youtube beauty/fashion gurus on their videos which was how i came across her. Her songs are really gentle and happy and you can tell theres meaning in her songs. My favourite songs of hers are Right words, Paradise and Sweet sweet melody.

5. Karmin

Who said females can't rap? Search up Karmin - Look at me now cover on youtube and wait for the middle. Oh my gosh, Amy is a-ma-zing at rapping. Not only that, but shes a brilliant singer too. You can;t forget Nick though! This duo is engaged aswell, which is super cute! Amys quiff is literally signature now, but her hair looks perfect without and down. They also came from youtube and have done tons of covers aswell as orignal songs. My favourite orignal songs of theirs is Brokenhearted (obviously), Crash your party, Too many fish, I told you so, I'm just sayin' and Hello

I have a few songs that i listen to that are by less known artists and they are single songs, not whole albums, so i'll share them with you anyway! Short descriptions though...

5. Justice Crew - Boom Boom

Justice crew is an Australian group and there is flippin' tons of 'em. This song was written by Jay Sean too! This song so catchy, got introduced to this on a janoskians video and i couldn't stop singing it. Its just a really good song.

6. The Deans List/The Kings Dead - Dear Professor
This is more urban, i like rap, okay? Its just a really catchy song and i love it to bits, i listen to this all the time. This wouldn't be to everyone's taste though. They changed their name to 'The Kings Dead' so i put both names. I prefer 'The Deans List' though, I don't like 'The Kings Dead' if i'm honest. Free download for their new album 'Jerusalem' here if you like Dear Professor.

7. Mumford and sons - The Cave

I just love this song, its quite brutal though! But anyway, i love the way this song speeds up. Just go listen to it, its really good. I'm getting lazy with what i'm writing now, sorry!

8. Lonsdale Boys Club - Light Me Up

You might of heard of these guys, you may of not. I knew them because they played at T4 on the beach and i really liked their song. This songs just really happy and upbeat, because i like happy and upbeat songs, you know? Just check out this song, you won't regret it.

After finishing this post, i realized practically every group/singer i mentioned was male, ah oh well.

Disco pants

I know i'm in love with the American Apparel disco pants, although i haven't gathered up the courage to buy any yet.

I did stumble across some dupes for £14.99 though, and i thought i'd quickly show you them.

They're from missguided.com and they're an absolute bargain, perfect for trying them out. There's a variety of colours which is another plus.

They'd be perfect with either these -

Or these absolutely perfect Jeffrey Cambell Lita boots (sigh) -

I vow to get a pair one day!
